Photo of a delta therm system

The DeltaTherm 1550 system is one of several focal plane array thermoelastic detectors that have recently become available. An imaging array similar in format to the array used in a CCD camera is used to capture simultaneously all the pixels in a 320 by 256 array, which is typically performed in less than one minute. The lens system is similar to a simple video camera lens, and the detector array is cooled with a Stirling cycle cooler. The system is controlled with a digital correlator and windows computer system.
