INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON

STRAIN MEASUREMENT IN

EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS

Tuesday 28th August, 2012

THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW

Glasgow, Scotland

Organised by

Eann Patterson, University of Liverpool,

John Lambros, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Researchers interested in developing techniques for measuring strain at very high temperatures, very high frequencies, very large displacements and, or very high speeds.

Modellers with a requirement to validate the predictions from simulations of strain fields for structures and components subject to extreme conditions.

Designers/industrialists who need strain/stress data for engineering components/systems operating at the limit of material capability.

           ANYONE INTERESTED IN CHALLENGING PROBLEMS.
